Renovation | San Francisco, California
This family of four had outgrown their tired, chopped up kitchen plan and separate breakfast room. To improve the function of both, we opened up the two spaces; tucked in a desk area in an old pantry space, and added an island in the kitchen for improved circulation.
The design seeks a timeless quality through the use of pale, but warm materials and colors. The textured glass in the cabinets and light fixtures recalls the 1940’s, when the original house was built.
